Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya hidup hedonis dengan perilaku konsumtif fashion pada mahasiswi fakultas psikologi Universitas medan area. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive sample. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 263 mahasiswi dan sampel penelitian sebanyak 68 mahasiswi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan model skala likert melalui skala gaya hidup hedonis dan perilaku konsumtif. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis product moment dengan jumlah rxy = 0,889 dengan P< 0.010 hipotesis dinyatakan diterima maka ada hubungan positif antara gaya hidup hedonis dengan perilaku konsumtif fashion pada mahasiswi fakultas psikologi universitas medan area . Artinya semakin tinggi gaya hidup hedonis maka semakin tinggi perilaku konsumtif, sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat gaya hidup hedonis maka semakin rendah perilaku konsumtif fashion. Sumbangan efektif variabel gaya hidup hedonis terhadap perilaku konsumtif fashion adalah 79,0%. Dengan demikian masih terdapat 21,% pengaruh dari faktor lain(seperti:faktor kebudayaan,faktor sosial,faktor pribadi,dan faktor psikologis) terhadap perilaku konsumtif fashion yang dilihat dalam penelitian. Hasil lain ditemukan bahwasanya dari perhitungan mean empiric gaya hidup hedonis termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan perilaku konsumtif fashion termasuk dalam kategori tinggi . This study aims to determine the relationship of a hedonistic lifestyle with the consumer behavior in fashion in student of the faculty of psychology, University of medan area. The sampling technique using Purposive sample. The population in this study were 263 students and the research sample as many as 68 students. The collection of data using a likert scale models through the scale of the hedonistic lifestyle and consumer behavior. Quantitative research methods and data analysis used is the analysis of product moment with the amount of rxy = 0,889 with P< 0.010 hypothesis is accepted then there is a positive relationship between hedonistic lifestyle with the consumer behavior in fashion in student of the faculty of psychology, university of medan area . Meaning that the higher the hedonistic lifestyle, the higher the consumer behavior, on the contrary, the lower the level of hedonistic lifestyle then the lower the consumer behavior in fashion. The effective contribution of the variable hedonistic lifestyle on consumer behavior in fashion is 79,0%. Thus, there are still 21,% the influence of other factors(such as:cultural factors,social factors,personal factors,and psychological factors) on consumer behavior in fashion that seen in the study. Other results found that from the calculation of the mean, empiric hedonistic lifestyle included in the high category and the consumer behavior in fashion included in the high category .
