dc.description.abstract | Kondensor merupakan salah satu komponen utama pada sistem yang berkerja mengkondensasi uap menjadi cair. Kinerja dari suatu kondensor dapat dipengaruhi oleh laju perpindahan panas,tekanan vakum dan efektivitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai efektivitas dan variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi kinerja kondensor pada proses destilasi daun serai wangi serta mengetahui pengaruh laju perpindahan panas terhadap kondensasi film (massa uap kondensat). Metode penelitian nilai efektivitas menggunakan Log Mean Temperature Different (LMTD) dan Effectiveness – Number of Transfer Unit (NTU) serta membandingkan massa uap kondensat dengan laju aliran massa uap untuk mendapatkan kondensasi film. Pada hasil Penelitian, perhitungan nilai efektivitas pada kondensor didapatkan sebesar 89%, dan massa uap kondesat 36% yang menjadi bioooil. Variabel yang mempengaruhi adalah kapasitas rasio sebesar 0, 0182840, laju perpindahan panas sebesar 186544,68 W. LMTD sebesar 29,74 C, Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondensor yang ada pada proses destilasi daun serai wangi masih mempunyai peforma yang baik Condenser is one of the main components in the system that works to convert steam into water and reuse it. The performance of a condenser can be a influenced by heat transfer rate, vacuum pressuare and effectiveness. This research was to determine the value of effevtiveness and variables that influence the peformance of the condensor and to reseach condensate mass rate. The method of determining the value of effectiveness use the log mean temperature different (LMTD) method and the number of transfer unit – effectiveness (NTU). The result of research the calculation the effectiveness value on condensor was 89% and the condesate mass rate obtained by 36% is the result of biooil output, capacity ratio was 0, 0182840, heat transfer rate was 186544,68 W, log mean temperature different was 29,74 C. So it can be cocncluded that the existing condensor at process destilation still has good performance | en_US |
