Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan komuniksi interpersonal dan motivasi kerja dengan kepuasan kerja pegawai di Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera utara (UINSU) Medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai baik itu dari ASN maupun BLU yang tersebar di Biro Rektor, Fakultas, Prodi maupun di unit penunjang kependidikan di Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera utara (UINSU) Medan, total populasi 212 orang dengan sempel penelitian 139 dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitaf korelasional. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Random Sampling. Peneliti menggunakan 3 (tiga) jenis skala yaitu skala komuniksi interpersonal, skala motivasi kerja dan skala kepuasan kerja. Adapun teknik Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh R = 0,468 dengan r2 = 0,219 dimana p < 0,00. Menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara komuniksi interpersonal dan motivasi kerja dengan kepuasan kerja kerja pada pegawai di Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera utara (UINSU) Medan. Variabel komuniksi interpersonal dengan kepuasan kerja memiliki nilai pearson correllation sebesar -3.71 dan p < 0,00, artinya arah hubungan variabel negatif yaitu semakin buruk komuniksi interpersonal maka semakin rendah kepuasan kerja. Sedangkan variabel motivasi kerja dengan kepuasan kerja memiliki nilai pearson correllation -3.40 dan p < 0,00, artinya arah hubungannya adalah negatif yaitu semakin buruk motivasi kerja maka semakin rendah kepuasan kerja. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication and work motivation and job satisfaction of employees at the Islamic State University of North Sumatra Medan. The subjects in this study were all employees both from civil servants and out souching who were scattered in the Chancellor's Bureau, Faculties, Study Programs and in educational support units at the Islamic State University of North Sumatra Medan, a total population of 212 people with 139 research samples using the slovin formula. The approach used in this research is correlational quantitative. Sampling in this study is random sampling. Researchers used 3 (three) types of scales, namely the interpersonal communication scale, work motivation scale and job satisfaction scale. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that R = 0.468 with r2 = 0.219 where p <0.00. It shows that there is a significant relationship between interpersonal communication and work motivation with job satisfaction among employees at the Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan. The interpersonal communication variable with job satisfaction has a pearson correllation value of -3.71 and p <0.00, meaning that the direction of the negative variable relationship is that the worse the interpersonal communication, the lower the job satisfaction. Meanwhile, the variable of work motivation and job satisfaction has a pearson correllation value of -3.40 and p <0.00, meaning that the direction of the relationship is negative, that is, the worse the work motivation, the lower the job satisfaction.
