dc.description.abstractBanjir adalah bencana alam yang sering terjadi di Kota Medan. Kedatangan banjir dapat diprediksi dengan memperhatikan curah hujan yang tinggi dan drainase yang tidak bisa menampung air limpasan. Penulis akan melakukan penelitian pada salah satu daerah yang sering terjadi banjir setiap musim penghujanan dikota medan yaitu pada kawasan jalan Dr. Mansyur Kecamatan Medan Selayang. Tujuan penelitian yaitu menghitung debit kapasitas drainase eksisting dan merecanakan kembali kapasitas drainase yang ideal pada kawasan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Distribusi Normal, Distribusi Log Normal, Distribusi Log Pearson III dan Distribusi Gumbel. Hasilnya diketahui ada 4 Drainase eksisting yang tidak mampu menampung debit banjir rencana, yaitu di Jl. Dr.Mansyur debit kapasitas eksisting 8,53 m3/detik, dan debit banjir rencana 9,50 m3/detik. Jl. Tri Dharma debit kapasitas eksisting 5,49 m3/detik, dan debit banjir rencana 6,14 m3/detik. Jl. Pintu 2 debit kapasitas eksisting 2,90 m3/detik, dan debit banjir rencana 4,58 m3/detik. Jl. Prof T.M. Hanifah debit kapasitas eksisting 3,56 m3/detik, dan debit banjir rencana 4,44 m3/detik. Jl. Politeknik debit kapasitas eksisting 2,12 m3/detik, dan debit banjir rencana 3,79 m3/detik. Tindakan yang bisa diambil untuk mengendalikan banjir adalah membuat debit kapasitas drainase rencana yang ideal, untuk di Jl. Dr.Mansyur debit kapasitas drainase rencana 10,05 m3/detik, Jl. Tri Dharma debit kapasitas drainase rencana 8,18 m3/detik, Jl. Pintu 2 debit kapasitas drainase rencana 5,33 m3/detik, Jl. Prof. T.M. Hanifah debit kapasitas drainase rencana 6,64 m3/detik, Jl. Politeknik debit kapasitas drainase rencana 3,93 m3/detik. Kesimpulannya adalah pemerintah harus melakukan pembersihan drainase secara berkala dan melakukan pelebaran ukuran drainase agar dapat menampung jumlah debit air hujan yang masuk. Floods are natural disasters that often occur in the city of Medan. The arrival of floods can be predicted by taking into account the high rainfall and drainage that cannot accommodate runoff water. The author will conduct research in one area that often floods every rainy season in the city of Medan, namely the Dr. Street area. Mansyur, Medan Selayang District. The purpose of this research is to calculate the discharge of the existing drainage capacity and to re-plan the ideal drainage capacity in the area. The method used is the Normal Distribution, Log Normal Distribution, Pearson III Log Distribution and Gumbel Distribution. The result is that there are 4 existing drainages that are not able to accommodate the planned flood discharge, namely on Jl. Dr.Mansyur's existing discharge capacity is 8.53 m3/second, and the design flood discharge is 9.50 m3/second. Jl. Tri Dharma's existing capacity discharge is 5.49 m3/second, and the design flood discharge is 6.14 m3/second. Jl. Gate 2 has an existing capacity of 2.90 m3/second, and a design flood discharge of 4.58 m3/second. Jl. Prof. T.M. Hanifah's existing capacity discharge is 3.56 m3/second, and the design flood discharge is 4.44 m3/second. Jl. The existing polytechnic discharge capacity is 2.12 m3/second, and the design flood discharge is 3.79 m3/second. Actions that can be taken to control flooding are to make an ideal design drainage capacity discharge, for Jl. Dr.Mansyur discharge design drainage capacity of 10.05 m3/second, Jl. Tri Dharma discharge design drainage capacity of 8.18 m3/second, Jl. Gate 2 discharge design drainage capacity 5.33 m3/second, Jl. Prof. T.M. Hanifah design drainage capacity discharge 6.64 m3/second, Jl. The discharge polytechnic drainage capacity is 3.93 m3/second. The conclusion is that the government must carry out regular drainage cleaning and widen the size of the drainage in order to accommodate the amount of incoming rainwater discharge.en_US
