This study aims to determine the description of work stress on employees at the University of Medan Area Administration. Job stress is a person's condition that can be caused by demands from the environment and social situations that result in a person unable to control so that it has the potential to harm the individual. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a research sample of 36 employees at the University of Medan Area for Administration. Analysis of the data used to view the description of work stress on employees at the University of Medan Area is to use the distribution normality test analyzed using the normality test of the distribution of research data using the Kolmogrov-Smirnov technique. Based on the analysis conducted, it is known that the work stress scale is normally distributed. As a criterion if p > 0.05 then the distribution is declared normal, on the contrary if p < 0.01 the distribution is declared abnormal. Data retrieval using a Likert scale model through a scale of aspects of Job Stress, including: physiological symptoms, psychological symptoms, and behavioral symptoms. Reliability using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient technique. The reliability of the item is = 0.951. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of work stress on Administrative Officers at the University of Medan Area obtained the average value of physiological symptoms of 38.56 or 43%, the average value of psychological symptoms of 35.83 or 40%, the average value behavioral symptoms by 15.50 or 17%. Based on the results of this analysis, it is known that those who have the largest percentage are the average value of Physiological symptoms of 38.56 or 43% and those who have the lowest percentage are the average values of Behavioral symptoms of 15.50 or 17%. Therefore, in the results of this study, the aspects of Job Stress on employees at the Medan University Area Administration Division are the highest (1) From the results of the calculation of the descriptive analysis of the frequency, for physiological symptoms it is known that 5 people have physiological symptoms in the high category, while 17 people and low 14 people. (2) From the results of the calculation of the descriptive analysis of frequency, for psychological symptoms it is known that 6 people have psychological symptoms in the high category, 19 people are medium and 19 people are low. (3) From the results of the calculation of the descriptive analysis of frequency, for behavioral symptoms it is known that 4 people have behavioral symptoms in the high category, 14 people are medium and 18 people are low.
