dc.description.abstractRasa percaya diri adalah suatu keyakinan seseorang terhadap segala aspek kelebihan yang dimilikinya dan keyakinan tersebut membuat individu merasa mampu untuk bisa mencapai berbagai macam tujuan di dalam hidup. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi rasa percaya diri adalah dukungan sosial, dimana dukungan sosial dapat menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri individu karena merasa disayangi, diperhatikan dan dihargai oleh orang lain sehingga individu merasa dirinya berharga. Dukungan sosial diartikan bentuk penerimaan dari seseorang atau sekelompok orang terhadap individu yang menimbulkan persepsi dalam dirinya bahwa ia disayangi, diperhatikan, dihargai dan ditolong. Subjek adalah siswa SMA tunarungu SLB Negeri Pembina Tingkat Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang berjumlah 48 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Skala rasa percaya diri yang digunakan berasal dari aspek rasa percaya diri yaitu : (1) aspek keyakinan akan kemampuan diri, (2) aspek optimis, (3) aspek obyektif, (4) aspek bertanggung jawab, (5) aspek rasional dan realitas, yaitu skala dukungan sosial dan skala rasa percaya diri. Skala dukungan sosial yang digunakan berasal dari aspek dukungan sosial yaitu : (1) dukungan emosional, (2) dukungan informasi, (3) dukungan instrumental, (4) dukungan penghargaan. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment (rxy) sebesar 0,450 dengan p = 0,001 < 0,01 artinya terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan rasa percaya diri remaja tunarungu, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin rendah dukungan sosial maka semakin rendah pula rasa percaya diri remaja tunarungu. Sebaliknya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi pula rasa percaya diri remaja tunarungu. Dukungan sosial pada remaja tunarungu dalam penelitian ini tergolong sedang karena (mean empirik = 68,000 < mean hipotetik = 72,50 dimana selisihnya tidak melebihi bilangan SD = 9,948). Dan rasa percaya diri remaja tunarungu tergolong sedang, karena (mean empirik= 91,687 < mean hipotetik = 92,50 dimana selisihnya tidak melebihi bilangan SD = 12,127). Adapun koefisien determinasi dari korelasi tersebut sebesar r2 = 0,202 artinya dukungan sosial memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap rasa percaya diri remaja tunarungu sebesar 20,20% dengan demikian masih terdapat 70,80% kontribusi dari faktor lain. One of the factors that influence self-confidence is social support, where social support can foster individual self-confidence because they feel loved, cared for and appreciated by others so that individuals feel themselves valuable. Social support is defined as a form of acceptance from a person or group of people towards an individual that creates a perception in him that he is loved, cared for, appreciated and helped. The subjects were high school students who were deaf at SLB Pembina State Level of North Sumatra Province, totaling 48 students. The sampling technique used was total sampling technique. The self-confidence scale used comes from aspects of self-confidence, namely: (1) aspects of belief in self-ability, (2) optimistic aspects, (3) objective aspects, (4) responsible aspects, (5) rational and reality aspects, namely the social support scale and the self-confidence scale. The social support scale used comes from aspects of social support, namely: (1) emotional support, (2) information support, (3) instrumental support, (4) reward support. Data analysis using the product moment correlation technique (rxy) of 0.450 with p = 0.001 < 0.01 means that there is a significant positive relationship between social support and self-confidence of deaf adolescents, which indicates that the lower the social support, the lower the self-confidence. deaf youth. Conversely, the higher the social support, the higher the self-confidence of deaf adolescents. Social support for deaf adolescents in this study was classified as moderate because (empirical mean = 68,000 < hypothetical mean = 72.50 where the difference did not exceed SD = 9.948). And the self-confidence of deaf adolescents is moderate, because (empirical mean = 91.687 < hypothetical mean = 92.50 where the difference does not exceed SD = 12.127). The coefficient of determination of the correlation is r2 = 0.202, meaning that social support contributes effectively to the self-confidence of deaf adolescents by 20.20%, thus there are still 70.80% contributions from other factors.en_US
