Abstract: | Kehidupan masyarakat petani Bali di Kecamatan Pegajahan terjadi pergeseran nilai budaya akibat alkulturasi dengan budaya setempat, termasuk dalam sistem pertanian.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perubahan sosial yang terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat petani Bali di Kecamatan Pegajahan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Metode analisis yang digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Keseluruhan sampel penelitian berjumlah 24 masyarakat petani Bali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat petani Bali di Kecamatan Pegajahan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai telah mengalami perubahan sosial, budaya, ekonomi dan teknologi. Pada segi budaya, hal ini dapat dilihat dari cara berpakaian, makanan, dan sistem pertanian. Dalam sistem pertanian yang berubah pada masyarakat petani Bali adalah sistem gotong royong yang dilakukan petani Bali kini beralih menjadi sistem upah. Dalam segi ekonomi masyarakat petani Bali mengalami perubahan, dimana masyarakat petani Bali bekerja sebagai buruh kelapa sawit di PTPN IV kebun Adolina dan kini telah beralih menajdi petani padi sawah dengan status lahan milik sendiri. Dalam segi teknologi perubahan yang terjadi pada masyarakat petani Bali di Kecamatan Pegajahan mengubah cara bertani dalam melakukan aktivitas pertanian. Dimana pada saat membajak sawah masyarakat petani Bali tidak lagi menggunakan cangkul atau tenaga hewan sekarang menggunakan alat traktor yang kini lebih efisien. The life of the Balinese farming community in Pegajahan District has shifted cultural values due to alkututuration with local culture, including the agricultural system. The purpose of this study was to determine the social changes that occurred in of the Balinese farmers community’s life in Pegajahan, Serdang Bedagai – Nort Sumatera. This study used analysis qualitative descriptive as a method of research. Sampling technique was done by saturated sample technique. Total samples in this research was 24 famers. The results showed that the Balinese farming community in Pegajahan District, Serdang Bedagai had experienced social, cultural, economic and technological changes. Furthermore in terms of culture, it can be seen from the way they dress, food consumption and also the agricultural system. In the agricultural system that has changed in the Balinese farming community was the mutual cooperation system carried out by Balinese farmers has now turned into a wage system. In terms of the economy, the Balinese farming community in Pegajahan underwent a changes. In the beginning, they worked as laborer of palm oil in PTPN IV Adolina and now they worked as farmers in their own field. Technology brought changes to them. It can be seen in the way of farming. Specifically in the conduct of agricultural activities. They are no longer using hoes or animals power for plowing the rice fields but rather use tractor which is more efficient. |
