This study aims to determine the correlation of work environment and compensation on the performance of the Medan Area University employees in the covid-19 pandemic period. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study were 195 active employees of the Medan Area University. The sample in this study were 30 employees of the University of Medan Area. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. The data analysis used is the Multiple Regression analysis technique using SPSS software. This study uses a scale with a work environment instrument, compensation for employee performance. The results showed: a) there is a significant positive relationship between work environment and employee performance, indicated by the value of the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.515 with p = 0.040 < 0.050. b) there is a significant positive relationship between compensation and employee performance, indicated by the value of the determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.382 with p = 0.037 < 0.050. c) a significant positive relationship between Work Environment and Compensation on Employee Performance, as indicated by the results of the coefficient of determinant coefficient (R2) = 0.515 with p = 0.016 < 0.050, it can be concluded that there is a correlation of Work Environment and Compensation variables on Employee Performance. Thus, it can be stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.
