dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perhatian orangtua dan penyesuaian diri dengan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum siswa SMA Swasta RK Deli Murni Bandar Baru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yakni siswa yang berkecenderungan cemas berbicara di depan umum 123 siswa yang sebelumnya sudah diseleksi secara Screening. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Total sampling yakni sebanyak 123 siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan rumus regresi berganda. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala dengan instrumen Kecemasan berbicara di depan umum, perhatian orangtua dan penyesuaian diri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: a) ada hubungan perhatian orangtua, dan penyesuaian diri dengan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum sebesar -0,536 atau 53,6%. b) ada hubungan negatif perhatian orangtua dengan kecemasan berbicara sebesar -0,184 atau 18,4% pada signifikansi 0,029. c) ada hubungan negatif penyesuaian diri dengan kecemasan berbicara di depan umum sebesar -0,441 atau 44,1% pada signifikansi 0,000. Kesimpulannya, semakin tinggi perhatian orangtua dan penyesuaian diri siswa, maka semakin rendah kecemasan berbicara di depan umum. Dengan demikian dapat di nyatakan bahwa hipotesis yang di ajukan dalam penelitian ini, dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to determine the relationship parental attention and adjustment to public speaking anxiety at RK Deli Murni Bandar Baru Private High School students. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach. The population in this study were students who tended to be anxious about speaking in public, 123 students who had previously been screened. Samples were taken using the total sampling technique as many as 123 students. Data were analyzed using multiple regression formulas. This study uses a scale with the instruments of public speaking anxiety, parental attention and adjustment. The results showed: a) there was a relationship parental attention, and adjustment to public speaking anxiety by -0.536 or 53.6%. b) there is a negative relationship parental attention and speaking anxiety of -0.184 or 18.4% at a significance of 0.029. c) there is a negative relationship between self-adjustment and public speaking anxiety of -0.441 or 44.1% at a significance of 0.000. In conclusion, the higher the parental attention and adjustment of students, the lower the anxiety of public speaking. Thus, it can be stated that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepteden_US
