Abstract: | Turbin uap termasuk dalam kelompok pesawat-pesawat konversi energy potensial uap menjadi energy mekanik pada poros turbin uap. Poros turbin uap langsung atau dengan bantuan roda gigi reduksi dihubungkan dengan mekanisme yang digerakkan. Turbin uap dapat digunakan pada berbagai bidang industri, trasportasi, penerangan lampu, serta untuk pembangkit bertenaga listrik. Turbin uap di PTPN III unit kebun rambutan memiliki efisiensi yang rendah berkapasitas 1700 KW untuk menggerakkan berbagai peralatan yang berada di dalam pabrik kelapa sawit dengan daya yang sangat besar sehingga generator menghasilkan energy kinetic menjadi energy listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan Menghitung daya outpot turbin uap dan efisiensi turbin uap. Faktor yang mempengaruhi turunnya efisiensi turbin uap adalah tekanan uap masuk turbin yang menurun sehingga efisiensi turbin tidak optimal. Oleh sebab itu penelitian ini di lakukan untuk meningkatkan daya turbin dan efisiensi turbin uap. Setelah melakukan penelitian dan analisis data maka hasil yang di peroleh. Laju aliran uap (ṁ) yang dihasilkan boiler : 5,6 kg/s. Daya turbin pada penelitian ini sebesar 1807 kW. Efisiensi Siklus yang di peroleh 24 %. Daya output turbin uap ke generator yang dihasilkan pada tekanan uap 1900 kPa adalah sebesar 1807 kW. The steam turbine is included in the group of planes for converting steam potential energy into mechanical energy at the steam turbine shaft. The steam turbine shaft directly or with the help of reduction gears is connected to a driven mechanism. Steam turbines can be used in various fields of industry, transportation, lighting, as well as for electric powered generation. The steam turbine in the PTPN III rambutan garden unit has low efficiency with a capacity of 1700 KW to power various equipment in the palm oil mill with very large power so that the generator produces kinetic energy into electrical energy. This study aims to calculate the steam turbine output power and the efficiency of the steam turbine. The factor that affects the decrease in the efficiency of the steam turbine is the decreased steam pressure in the turbine so that the turbine efficiency is not optimal. Therefore this research was conducted to increase turbine power and efficiency of steam turbines. After doing research and data analysis, the results obtained. Steam flow rate (ṁ) produced by boiler: 5.6 kg / s. The turbine power in this study is 1807 kW. The cycle efficiency is 24%. The steam turbine output power to the generator at 1900 kPa steam pressure is 1087 kW. |
