This study aims to see the correlation between self-efficacy and coping stress in of students at SMA Pancabudi Medan. This type of research uses a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with a population of 168 students. The data collection method uses a Likert scale. So the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a correlation between Self Efficacy and Coping Stress in class XI students. With the assumption that the higher the self-efficacy, the higher the coping stress on students and vice versa. The data analysis used the results of the analysis with the Product Moment Correlation analysis method, it is known that there is a positive correlation between self-efficacy and coping stress where rxy = 0.415 with a significant p = 0.001 <0.050. Likewise, self-efficacy is high because the empirical average value (76.54) is greater than the hypothetical (67.5), and coping stress is high because the empirical mean value (77.95) is higher than the hypothetical average value. (65). The determinant coefficient (r2) of the correlation between the free variable X and the dependent variable Y is r2 = 0.172. This shows that self-efficacy contributes to coping stress by 17.2%. Then the conclusion of the proposed hypothesis is declared accepted. | en_US |
