dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pada pegawai Kantor Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Medan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 56 orang. Dalam teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan: 1).metode dokumentasi (data kinerja pegawai), 2).metode skala disiplin kerja yang terdiri dari 3 aspek yaitu pemahaman terhadap peraturan, ketaatan terhadap peraturan, dan ketepatan waktu dalam pelaksanaan dan penyelesaian pekerjaan. Untuk menguji hipotesis digunakan teknik regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh koefisisen rxy = 0,576 dengan signifikasi p = 0,590 (p > 0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara Disiplin Kerja dengan Kinerja. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima, yaitu semakin tingginya disiplin kerja maka akan semakin baik kinerja pegawai, dan sebaliknya, jika disiplin kerja rendah maka kinerja pegawai semakin tidak baik. Sumbangan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai sebesar 33,2% dengan demikian masih terdapat 66,8% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai. Secara umum hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Disiplin Kerja tergolong sedang dan Kinerja pada Pegawai Kantor Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Medan tergolong baik. Hal ini didukung nilai rata-rata empirik di atas rata-rata hipotetik dalam kurva normal, dengan nilai rata-rata empirik Disiplin Kerja = 96,3 , sedangkan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya = 87,5. Adapun nilai Standart Deviasinya (SD) = 11,469. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh Kinerja Pegawai = 77,82. This study aims to see the effect of work discipline on the performance of the employees of the Medan City Library and Archives Office. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is an effect of work discipline on employee performance. The population in this study were 56 people. In the sampling technique using the total sampling technique. This study uses: 1). documentation method (employee performance data), 2). work discipline scale method which consists of 3 aspects, namely understanding of regulations, compliance with regulations, and punctuality in the implementation and completion of work. To test the hypothesis, a simple linear regression technique was used. The results of this study obtained a coefficient of rxy = 0.576 with a significance of p = 0.590 (p > 0.05) which indicates that there is a significant influence between Work Discipline and Performance. Thus the proposed hypothesis is accepted, namely the higher the work discipline, the better the employee's performance, and vice versa, if the work discipline is low, the employee's performance is getting worse. The contribution of work discipline to employee performance is 33.2%, thus there are still 66.8% of other factors that affect employee performance. In general, the results of this study state that the work discipline is classified as moderate and the performance of the Medan City Library and Archives Office is classified as good. This is supported by the empirical average value above the hypothetical average in the normal curve, with the empirical average value of Work Discipline = 96.3 , while the hypothetical average value = 87.5. The value of the Standard Deviation (SD) = 11.469. The average value obtained by Employee Performance = 77.82.en_US
