This study aims to determine the correlation between self-efficacy and stress on foreign refugees in Medan. Stress is a condition in which refugees are unable to cope with demands that exceed their abilities and capacities and can not control themselves. While self-efficacy is an individual's belief in his ability to overcome various situations that occur in his life. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of correlational research. The study population in 201 was refugees. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 78 refugees who met the requirements. The data collection technique used the Self Efficacy scale and the Stress scale. Data analysis method used in this research is Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed that there was no significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and stress on foreign refugees at the My Mansion Medan shelter. This is not justified from a significant value of 0.061 (p >0.05) even though it has a tendency to have a negative relationship with an rxy value of -0.213. So it can be said that the hypothesis is rejected, that is, there is no significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and stress. The value of the determinant coefficient is 0.045 or with a percentage of 4.5% where Self efficacy is distributed to stress only 4.5% and the remaining 95.5% is influenced by other factors such as: coping with stress, self-restraint, optimism, social support , and ethnic identity.en_US
