Abstract: Kurangnya rasa keyakinan (self-efficacy) pada pegawai Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan dalam menyelesaikan tugas sendiri tanpa tim ataupun bantuan orang lain, serta pegawai terbiasa bekerja di zona nyaman membuat pegawai jadi bermalas-malasan dan menganggap pekerjaan membosankan dan monoton sehingga pelaksanaan tugas tidak berjalan dengan baik, turunnya tingkat motivasi kerja pegawai serta kurang rasa tanggung jawab dalam bekerja berakibat performa kinerja pegawai tidak maksimal serta kinerja pegawai pada instansi rendah, terlihat dari prestasi kerja yang masih jauh dari yang ditargetkan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian yakni menganalisis besarnya pengaruh self-efficacy serta motivasi kerja pada kinerja pegawai Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan, dengan desain menggunakan penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif metode deskriptif verifikatif, sampel yang dipakai merupakan keseluruhan pns di kantor Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan yaitu 50 pegawai kecuali pns pejabat penilai, teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling, analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda. Variabel motivasi kerja sangat dominan mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai sedangkan variabel self-efficacy secara signifikan tidak mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai, selain itu self-efficacy serta motivasi kerja mempengarui kinerja pegawai secara simultan di Sekretariat DPRD Kota Medan. Lack of confidence (self-efficacy) in Medan City DPRD Secretariat employees in completing their own tasks without a team or help from others, as well as employees accustomed to working in a comfort zone makes employees lazy and consider work boring and monotonous so that the implementation of tasks does not go smoothly. good, the decrease in the level of employee motivation and lack of sense of responsibility at work resulted in the performance of employee performance being not optimal and the performance of employees at the agency was low, as seen from work performance which was still far from the target. The purpose of the research is to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and work motivation on the performance of the Medan City DPRD Secretariat employees, with a design using a quantitative approach research with descriptive verification methods, the sample used is the entire civil servant in the Medan City DPRD Secretariat office, namely 50 employees except the appraiser officials. , the sampling technique is probability sampling with purposive sampling technique, data analysis using multiple regression. The work motivation variable is very dominant in influencing employee performance while the self-efficacy variable does not significantly affect employee performance, besides that self-efficacy and work motivation affect employee performance simultaneously at the Medan City DPRD Secretariat.
