Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan interaksi sosial dengan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja di Perumnas Helvetia Tengah. Kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan seseorang untuk bertahan menghadapi frustasi dan mengendalikan dorongan hati. Interaksi sosial adalah hubungan timbal balik yang saling mempengaruhi antar individu. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan interaksi sosial dengan kecerdasan emosional remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik sampling menggunakan Total Sampling, sampel berjumlah 60 remaja. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan model Skala Likert. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala kecerdasan emosional dan skala interaksi sosial. Metode analisis pengambilan data menggunakan korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Koefisien korelasi rxy= 0,723 dengan p= 0,000 < 0,05 sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan, jika nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh p < 0,5 maka hasil penelitian dinyatakan signifikan. Hipotesis penelitian dinyatakan, ada hubungan antara interaksi sosial dengan kecerdasan emosional, dengan nilai rata-rata empirik interaksi sosial= 91,07 sedangkan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya sebesar=70 sehingga variabel interaksi sosial tergolong tinggi, begitu pula dengan nilai rata-rata empirik kecerdasan emosional= 110,53, sedangkan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya sebesar 87,5 sehingga variabel kecerdasan emosional tergolong tinggi. Dengan bobot sumbangan efektif X dengan Y(BE%) r2= 52,2%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka hipotesis penelitian ini dinyatakan diterima. Thisresearchaimed to know the correlation between social interaction and adolescent emotional quantity in Perumnas Helvetia Tengah. Emotional quantity is one’s ability to cope with frustration and control impulse. Social Interaction is Reciprocal correlation which influenced each other among individuals. In this study, The hypothesis proposed a correlation between social interaction and adolescent emotional quantity. The sampling technique used Total Sampling, the Sample used 60 adolescents. The Data Collecting Method used Likert Scale Model. This research used emotional quantity scale and social interaction scale. The analysis of collecting Data Method used Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Correlation coefficient rxy= 0,723 with p= 0,0000 < 0,05 based on predetermined criteria, if significance values were obtained p < 0,5, so the research result were stated significance. The Research hypothesis was stated, there was correlation between social interaction and emotional quantity, with the empirical average value of social interaction= 91,07 while the hypothetical average value= 70 so that Social Interaction Variable was classified as high, as well as the empirical average value of emotional intelligence= 110,53, while the hypothetical average value was equal 87,5 so that the intelligence variable was classified as high. With the effective contribution weight X and Y (BE%) r2= 52,2%. Based on the research result , the research hypothesis was accepted.
