This study aims to determine the differences in emotional maturity between adolescent with working mothers and not working at SMAIT Al-Fityan School Medan. The sample in this study amounted to 225 students with 103 students with working mothers and 122 students not working mothers. This study used a total sampling technique, with the emotional maturity scale method arranged based on the following characteristics according to Jersild (2003): good self-acceptance, ability to control emotions, individual objectives. Based on the results of the One Way Anova analysis, it is known that there are differences in the emotional maturity of adolescents based on the mother's employment status. This result is known by looking at the value or coefficient of difference with the value of F = 466,308, p = 0.000 <0.05. This means that the hypothesis that says there is a difference in emotional maturity in terms of the status of working and unemployed mothers is declared accepted. Based on the results of the empirical and hypothetical mean values, it can be concluded that adolescents with non-working mothers have high emotional maturity with a hypothetical average value of 36 and an empirical value of 36.98 | en_US |
