Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui resiliensi pada penyandang tunanetra non bawaan. Resiliensi adalah kemampuan seseorang untuk bangkit dan beradaptasi kembali setelah mengalami situasi buruk. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berlandaskan fenomenologi. Fokus penelitian adalah melihat faktor apa yang membuat penyandang tunanetra mampu melakukan resiliensi, aspek-aspek apa yang ada dalam proses resiliensi, karakteristik resiliensi yang ditampilkan dan fase-fase apa saja yang dilewati sehingga mampu untuk menjadi individu yang resilien. Responden sebanyak 3 orang berusia dewasa madya (40-60 tahun) yang mengalami kebutaan non bawaan dan tergabung dalam Yayasan Pertuni Sumut. Metode penelitian adalah wawancara dengan menggunakan pedoman, dan observasi non-partisipan. Berdasarkan analisis data terhadap ketiga responden dapat diketahui bahwa ketiga responden mengalami kebutaan non bawaan dikarenakan penyakit sehingga mereka berusaha untuk menjadi individu yang resilien sebab harus mampu survive dengan hidup. Meninjau dari segi faktor resiliensi ditemukan bahwa ketiga responden sebisa mungkin menghindari konflik, meredam kekesesalan dan kekecewaan sebab ingin anak-anaknya mampu mencapai kesuksesan. Begitu juga segi aspek resiliensi, ketiga responden mampu untuk bangkit setelah masuk ke sekolah tunanetra sebab menemukan teman yang senasib sehingga membuat keyakinan untuk menjalani hidup bertambah dan banyak belajar untuk menyelesaikan masalahnya. Sedangkan dari segi karakteristik resiliensi, ketiga responden sama-sama merasa terpuruk dengan kondisinya saat itu dan butuh waktu bertahun untuk bisa menerima dirinya, hingga mereka menikah dan mampu membuat anak mereka bangga dengan mereka. Pada fase-fase resiliensi, ketiga responden mengalami ketiga fase dengan jalan yang hampir sama, merasakan stres, berusaha bangkit, hingga kini menikmati dan bersyukur dengan dirinya. This study aims to know the resilience of non-congenital blind people. Resilience is a person’s ability to revive and readapted after experiencing a bed situation. This study uses a qualitative approach based on phenomenology. The focus of this research is to see what factors make blind people are able to do resilience, what aspects are in the resilience process, the characteristics of resilience that are displayed and what phases are passed so that they are able to become resilient individuals. Respondents were 3 middle aged adult (40-65 years) who experienced non-congenital blindness and were members of the North Sumatra Pertuni Foundation. The research method are interview using guidelines and nonparticipant observation. Based on date analysis of the three respondens, it can be seen that three respondents experienced non-congenital blindness due to disease so that they try to become resilient individuals because they must be able to survive with their life. In terms of the resilience factor, it was found that the three respondents avoided conflict, soothe resentment and disappointment because they wanted their children to be able to achieve success. From the aspect of resilience, the three respondents were able to get up after entering a blind school because they found friends with the same fate, which made them more confident to live life and learn a lot to solve their problems. In terms of the characteristics of resilience, the three respondents both felt that their condition was deteriorated at that time and it took years to accept themselves. until they get married and are able to make their children proud of them. In the resilience phases, the three respondents experienced all three phases in almost the same way, feeling stress, trying to get up, until now enjoying and being grateful for themselves.
