Abstract: | Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif yang bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap motivasi berprestasi pada siswa MTs Swasta Nurus Salam Delitua. Motivasi berprestasi adalah dorongan dalam diri untuk melakukan kegiatan lebih baik, cepat, efektif, dan efesien. Sedangkan, dukungan teman sebaya adalah berupa informasi atau nasehat verbal dan non-verbal dari lingkungan sosial yang menuntun orang meyakini ia diurus dan disayangi. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 49 orang siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala dukungan teman sebaya dan skala motivasi berprestasi. Hasil analisis data regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan motivasi berprestasi dimana rxy = 0,883 dengan P = 0,000 < 0,005. Artinya semakin tinggi dukungan teman sebaya maka semakin tinggi pula motivasi berprestasi pada siswa begitu juga sebaliknya. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa dukungan teman sebaya berkontribusi terhadap motivasi berprestasi sebesar 78,0%. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari r2 = 0,780. Berdasarkan hasil nilai rata-rata empirik dan hipotetik dapat disimpulkan bahwa dukungan teman sebaya yang diterima tergolong tinggi dengan mean hipotetik 60 dan empirik 73,12 dan motivasi berprestasi yang diterima tergolong tinggi dengan mean hipotetik 82,5 dan mean empirik 105,16. Hal ini berarti hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. This study is an associative quantitative study that aims to see the effect of peer support on achievement motivation in students of MTs Swasta Nurus Salam Delitua. Achievement motivation is an internal drive to do activities better, faster, more effectively, and efficiently. Meanwhile, peer support is in the form of verbal and non-verbal information or advice from the social environment that leads people to believe they are cared for and loved. The sample used was 49 students who were taken using purposive sampling technique with data collection methods using peer support scale and achievement motivation scale. The results of simple linear regression data analysis showed a positive influence between peer support and achievement motivation where rxy = 0.883 with P = 0.000 < 0.005. This means that the higher the peer support, the higher the achievement motivation in students and vice versa. This study proves that peer support contributes to achievement motivation by 78.0%. It can be seen from r2 = 0.780. Based on the results of the empirical and hypothetical mean values, it can be concluded that the peer support received is high with a hypothetical mean of 60 and an empirical one of 73.12 and the achievement motivation received is high with a hypothetical mean of 82.5 and an empirical mean of 105.16. This means that the proposed hypothesis is accepted. |
