Hubungan Antara Self Control Dengan Perilaku Cyberloafing Pada Karyawan Di PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu sumber daya dalam perusahaan, karyawan harus mampu menunjukkan hasil kerja yang maksimal dan memanfaatkan waktu kerja untuk kepentingan perusahaan tempat ia bekerja. Walaupun demikian masih saja ditemukan perilaku dari karyawan yang tidak mampu menempatkan dirinya sesuai dengan waktu kerja salah satunya yaitu permasalahan mengenai penggunaan waktu kerja untuk penyelesaian tugas dan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Self Control dengan perilaku Cyberloafing pada karyawan yang bekerja di Kantor PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan yang bekerja di Divisi Data Manajemen Kantor PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan yang berjumlah 79 orang. Untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 79 orang. Hasil uji validitas pada variabel penelitian Self Control dan perilaku Cyberloafing diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat 7 dan 4 item gugur dari masing-masing variabel. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Korelasi Product Moment, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara Self Control dengan variabel perilaku Cyberloafing dimana Rxy = - 0,665 dengan tingkat (ρ) sebesar 0,000 sehingga ρ < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan hipotesi nol (Ho) diterima, yang menujukan adanya dengan hubungan negatif antara Self Control dengan perilaku Cyberloafing, dengan asumsi semakin rendah Self Control maka akan semakin tinggi pula perilaku Cyberloafing pada karyawan yang bekerja di Divisi Data Manajemen Kantor PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan. As one of the resources in the company, employees must be able to show maximum work results and utilize work time for the benefit of the company where they work. Even so, there are still behaviors from employees who are unable to position themselves according to working time, one of which is the problem of using work time to complete tasks and jobs. This study aims to see the relationship between self-control and Cyberloafing behavior among employees who work at the PT. Telkom Access Medan. The research approach used is a quantitative approach to the type of correlation research. The population in this study were all employees who work in the Office Management Data Division of PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan, amounting to 79 people. To determine the number of samples in this study using a total sampling technique and the sample of this study amounted to 79 people. The results of the validity test on the research variables of self-control and Cyberloafing behavior showed that 7 and 4 items were dropping from each variable. Reliability test using Alpha Cronbach which produces reliability test results of 0.961 for the self-control variable and 0.958 for the Cyberloafing behavior variable. Based on the calculation of Product Moment Correlation, it is known that there is a significant negative relationship between Self Control and the Cyberloafing behavior variable where Rxy = - 0.665 with a level (ρ) of 0.000 so that ρ <0.05. This shows that the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted, which indicates a negative relationship between Self Control and Cyberloafing behavior, assuming that the lower the Self Control, the higher the Cyberloafing behavior of employees who work in the Office Management Data Division of PT. Telkom Gaharu Medan.
