Evaluasi Penerapan Good Corporate Governance (Gcg) Pada Pt Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan

Abstract

Good Corporate Governance (GCG) sangat penting dalam pengendalian kelangsungan bisnis perusahaan ke depan, karena penerapan kebijakan berkaitan langsung dengan penerapan unsur kepatuhan hukum dan kepatuhan terhadap nilai-nilai etika. Latar belakang masalah dalam skripsi ini adalah PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan menunda pembayaran polis asuransi milik nasabah. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini, yaitu bagaimana evaluasi penerapan GCG pada PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan prinsip-prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG) pada PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan sudah menerapkan GCG walaupun penerapannya belum optimal dikarenalan masih ada ditemui kendala-kendala dalam penerapan GCG tersebut. Dengan penelitian ini, dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan masukan bagi perusahaan untuk menilai penerapan GCG yang telah dilakukan, serta memberikan saran-saran kepada perusahaan untuk memperbaiki prinsip-prinsip GCG yang dianggap masih belum maksimal penerapannya. The background of the problem in this thesis is PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan delaying the payment of the customer's insurance policy. The formulation of the research problem, namely how to evaluate the implementation of GCG at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan. This study aims to evaluate the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan. This study uses a descriptive approach with qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Medan has implemented GCG although its implementation is not optimal because there are still obstacles in the implementation of GCG. With this research, it can be used as input for companies to assess the implementation of GCG that has been carried out, as well as provide suggestions to companies to improve GCG principles which are considered to be still not optimally implemented.
