Hubungan Dukungan Sosial dengan Self Esteem pada Siswa SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat hubungan dukungan sosial pada siswa SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 65 responden. Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka semakin tinggi self esteem siswa-siswi. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala dukungan social dan skala self esteem yang terdiri dari 30 aitem dukungan sosial (  0,946 ) dan 18 aitem self esteem (   0,837). Analisis data menggunakan teknik r Product Moment. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima yaitu ada hubungan dukungan social dengan self esteem pada siswa SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai atau koefisien hubungan (rxy = 0,407 dengan p = 0,000, p < 0,05). selanjutnya dilihat dari perhitungan mean hipotetik dan mean empiric serta standart deviasinya diketahui bahwa dukungan sosial dengan self esteem pada siswa SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa tergolong rendah, dimana nilai rata-rata empirik lebih rendah dari nilai rata-rata hipotetik. This study aims to look at the relationship of social support to students of SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa. The subjects of this study were students of SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa Methodology with a total of 65 respondents. Based on the data analysis, it is concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted that there is a relationship between social support and self-esteem in SMK Methodist Tanjung Morawa. This is evidenced by the value or coefficient of the relationship (rxy = 0.407 with p = 0.000, p <0.05). Furthermore, seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean and empirical mean and standard deviation, it is known that social support with self-esteem in the Tanjung Morawa Methodist Vocational School students is low, where the empirical average value is lower than the hypothetical average value.
