dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan kemampuan bersosialisasi pada siswa-siswi kelas XI di SMA Swasta Teladan Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 224 orang dan Sempelnya sebanyak 122 orang siswa SMA Swasta Teladan Medan. Teknik pengambilan sempel menggunakan purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk skala Likert. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala pola asuh demokratis yang dibuat berdasarkan aspek pola asuh demokratis yaitu, musyawarah dalam keluarga, kebebasan yang terkendali, pengarahan orang tua, bimbingan dan perhatian, saling menghormati antar anggota keluarga, dan komunikasi dua arah. Selanjutnya skala kemampuan bersosialisasi disusun berdasarkan aspek kemampuan bersosialisasi yaitu, kemampuan menggunakan Bahasa, kemampuan berkomunikasi, kepercayaan diri, dan berani tampil di depan umum. Sejalan dengan pembahasan yang ada, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu ada hubungan positive antara pola asuh demokratis dengan keampuan bersosialisasi pada siswa-siswi kelas XI di SMA Swasta Teladan Medan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis product moment. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh ada hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan kemampuan bersosialisasi dengan korelasi 𝑟𝑥𝑦 sebesar 0,602 dengan p(sig) = 0.588 (p > 0,05) yang artinya hipotesis diterima, yaitu ada hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan kemampuan bersosialisasi. This study aims to determine the relationship between democratic parenting and social skills in class XI students at SMA Swasta Teladan Medan. This study uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was 224 people and the sample was 122 students of Medan Teladan Private High School. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. This study uses a Likert scale form. The measuring instrument used is the scale of democratic parenting which is based on aspects of democratic parenting, namely, deliberation in the family, controlled freedom, parental direction, guidance and attention, mutual respect between family members, and two-way communication. Furthermore, the scale of social skills is arranged based on aspects of social skills, namely, the ability to use language, communication skills, self-confidence, and the courage to appear in public. In line with the existing discussion, the hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive relationship between democratic parenting and social skills in class XI students at SMA Swasta Teladan Medan. The data analysis technique in this study uses product moment analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, there is a relationship between democratic parenting and social skills with an r_xy correlation of 0.602 with p(sig) = 0.588 (p > 0.05) which means that the hypothesis is accepted, that is, there is a relationship between democratic parenting and social skills.en_US
