This study aims to see the relation between Internet Addiction and Future Orientation in adolescent of SMP Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan, where the number of research subjects are 128 people. The hypothesis proposed in this study reads: there is a negative relation between Internet Addiction and Future Orientation for adolescents of SMP Al-Ulum Terpadu Medan. This means that the higher the Internet Addiction, the lower the Future Orientation, and vice versa, the lower the Internet Addiction, the higher the Future Orientation. The analytical method used in this research is the correlation technique product moment, where based on the analysis obtained from the following results, there is a negative relation between Future Orientation and Internet Addiction. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy=-0.578; p=0.000<0.05. Based on these results, the hypothesis that has been proposed in this study is accepted. The coefficient of determination (r2)=0.334 indicates that Internet Addiction is formed by 33.4%. Furthermore, seen from the calculation of the hypothetical mean =66 and the empirical mean =84.03 and the standard deviation=12.491 it is known that Future Orientation is in the high category. Meanwhile, Internet Addiction from the calculation of the hypothetical mean =66 and the empirical mean =58.24 and standard deviation =13.621 are known that Internet Addiction is in the low category.en_US
