Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan yang harus di penuhi dalam kehidupan moderen saat ini, hal ini sering dengan laju pembangunan diberbagai sector dan teknologi yang menuntut penyediaan energi listrik setiap saat. Atas dasar inilah, maka dalam proses penyediaan energi listrik secara kontinu dan bermutu. Dibutuhkan komponen utama mendukung kerja dari generator. di Hotel Inna Dharma Deli Medan pada penyediaan daya listrik disediakan oleh dua sumber. Sebagian supply utama adalah sumber PLN sedangkan supply cadangan adalah menggunakan generator. Untuk menjamin kontinuitas pelayanan energi listrik, maka sistem pengoperasian standby listrik adalah secara otomatis, artinya dengan menggunakan sistem kontrol yang sudah di rancang sedemikian rupa. Apabila supply PLN yang terputus maka standy genset akan langsung bekerja dan mengambil alih sebagai pensupply daya pada hotel inna dharma deli medan. Sebaliknya jika pln kembali ON atau bekerja, maka genset akan mati off setelah selang waktu yang telah di tentukan. Sistem pengalihan dalam listrik tersebut dengan menggunakan automatis transfer switch (ATS) dimana dalam ATS tersebut merupakan gabungan dari alat kontrol yang berfungsi dalam pengolahan daya PLN terhadap daya generator begitu juga sebaliknya.
