Hubungan antara Konsep Diri dengan Kecemasan dalam Menghadapi Dunia Kerja pada Mahasiswa Semseter Akhir Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah mahasiswa memiliki konsep diri yang rendah ketika harus menghadapi dunia kerja sehingga mereka cemas,. Keadaan ini men1mbuikan konfilk daiam. dm mereka sehingga akan menimbuikan kecemasan pada mahasiswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah para Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah seminar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala konsep diri yang terdiri dari lima aspek, yaitu: aspek diri fisik, aspek diri keluarga, aspek diri pribadi, aspek diri moral etik, aspek diri sosial. Sedangkan skala kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja ada tiga aspek yaitu: aspek fisiologis, aspek psikologis, aspek persepsi. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 130 orang yang berada di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Dalam upaya untuk membuktikan hipotesis diatas, maka digunakan teknik product moment. Teknik ini digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan diantara dua variabel. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa (1) Konsep diri yang dimiliki mahasiswa cenderung tinggi. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat nilai atau rxy = 0,428 dengan p < 0,000. hal ini berarti hipotesis yang dajukan ditolak yang berbunyi ada hubungan yang positif antara konsep diri dengan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. (2) para mahasiswa memiliki kecemasan yang cenderung tinggi, sebab nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh 179,79 sementara nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya 117,5, artinya nilai rata-rata empirik yang diperoleh lebih besar daripada nilai rata-rata hipotetik. This technique is used to analyze the relationship between two variable. The results of this study are known that (1) The self-concept owned by students tend to be high. This result is known by looking at the value or rxy = 0.428 with p < 0.000. This means that the proposed hypothesis is rejected which It reads that there is a positive relationship between self-concept and anxiety in face the world of work. (2) the students have high anxiety tend high, because the empirical average value obtained is 179.79 while average value the hypothetical is 117.5, meaning that the empirical mean value obtained is greater than the hypothetical mean.
