Abstract: | Teknologi tentang beton kekuatan awal tinggi (high early strength concrete) yang cepat mengeras semakin hari semakin berkembang. Technology of high early strength concrete that hardens fast growing day by day. Where current projects really need concrete that hardens quickly and at a young age can support the weight of the concrete itself so that other work on the project can be done faster. In an effort to provide correct information about superplasticizers that function as materials to improve the characteristics of high early strength concrete, this study aims to prove that superplasticizers are capable of producing high early strength. Superplasticizer is a chemical admixture. The use of superplasticizers reduces the amount of water used, speeds up setting time, and makes concrete easier workability. This study used the compressive strength method on specimens aged 3, 7 and 28 days. The level superplasticizer used is 250 ml for 1 bag of cement with water reduced 40% in the normal concrete mixtures. The planned concrete quality is fc 25 MPa at the 28 days. The results of this study prove that the use of superplasticizers improves the quality of concrete in its initial compressive strength and workability. Concrete with mixture superplasticizer has a higher initial compressive strength than normal concrete at the aged 3 days increased by 31.49% and at the 7 days by 18.84% while at the age of 28 days it has a compressive strength which tends to be the same as normal concrete. |
