dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan pupuk abu boiler dan pupuk organik cair kotoran kambing terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman semangka (Citrullus vulgaris L.), yang dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Medan Area yang beralamat di Jalan PBSI No. 1 Medan Estate, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu: 1) Faktor perlakuan pemberiang abu boiler dengan 4 taraf, dan 2) Faktor pengaplikasian pupuk organir cair dari kotoran kambing dengan 4 taraf. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan 3 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah panjang tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), umur berbunga (hari), jumlah cabang produktif (cabang), jumlah buah per sampel (buah), bobot per buah (kg), bobot buah per plot (kg), lilit buah (cm) dan berat brangkasan (g). Adapun Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah Perlakuan pemberian abu boiler berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah plot dan berat berat brangkasan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada lilit buah berpengaruh tidak nyata pada umur berbunga, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah per sampel dan bobot per buah. Perlakuan pengaplikasian pupuk organic cair kotoran kambing tidak berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah per sampel, bobot buah sampel tanaman, bobot buah plot, lilit buah dan berat brangkasan. Interaksi perlakuan pemberian abu boiler dan pengaplikasian pupuk organic cair kotoran kambing tidak berpengaruh nyata pada panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah buah per sampel, bobot buah sampel tanaman, bobot buah plot, lilit buah dan berat brangkasan. This study aims to determine the utilization of boiler ash fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer of goat manure on the growth and production of watermelon (Citrullus vulgaris L.) plants, which was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, which is located at Jalan PBSI No. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely: 1) Boiler ash treatment factor with 4 levels, and 2) Factors for applying organic fertilizer from goat dung with 4 levels. This research was conducted with 3 replications. The parameters observed in this study were plant length (cm), number of leaves (strands), flowering age (days), number of productive branches (branches), number of fruit per sample (fruit), weight per fruit (kg), fruit weight per plot (kg), fruit circumference (cm) and weight of stove (g). The results obtained from this study were the treatment of boiler ash had a significant effect on plant length, number of leaves, number of plot fruits and weight of stovetop a very significant effect on fruit girth and had no significant effect on flowering age, number of productive branches, number of fruit per sample and weight per fruit. The application of goat manure liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on plant length, number of leaves, age of flowering, number of productive branches, number of fruit per sample, fruit weight of plant samples, plot fruit weight, fruit girth and stover weight. The interaction of giving boiler ash treatment and application of liquid organic fertilizer of goat manure had no significant effect on plant length, number of leaves, flowering age, number of productive branches, number of fruit per sample, fruit weight of plant samples, weight of plot fruit, fruit girth and weight of stover.en_US
