The purpose of this study is to determine the difference between work stres in terms of shift work at security guards at Medan Area University. This research method uses quantitative research methods. The population of this study as many as 25 people and a sample of 25 people, the researchers used a total sampling technique. The results of this study are known by looking at the value of the difference coefficient with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.050. Thus, the hypothesis which reads that there is a difference in work stres in terms of work shifts is accepted. It can be seen from the data that the mean morning shift is 9.681 which is lower than the mean night shift which is 26.954 which is higher than the morning shift. This means that the security guard who works on the night shift has a high level of stres compared to the security guard who works in the morning. This is because the hours of rest or sleep security guards use to work atnight.en_US
