Abstract: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara gaya hidup hedonisme dengan kecenderungan impulse buying pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi universitas medan area. Hipotesis hubungan adalah ada hubungan positif antara hidup hedonisme dengan kecenderungan impulse buying pada mahasiswa fakultas psikologi universitas medan Area sebanyak 41 orang dan pengambilan sampel di lakukan dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data adalah skala yang terdiri dari gaya hidup hedonisme dan skala impulse buyig . Metode Analisis data adalah uji korelasional menggunakan Pearson Product Moment. Dari hasil analisis,di katahui bahwa hipotesis penelitian di (rxy = 0,715; p = 0.001 <0.005). Diketahui bahwa gaya hidup hedonisme memberikan sumbangan terhadap impulse buying sebesar 51,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat 48,8% faktor lain yang berpengaruh namun tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini Gaya Hidup Hedonisme tergolong tinggi, didasarkan pada mean empirik yang diperoleh (87,78) lebih besar dari mean hipotetik (75), selanjutnya diketahui bahwa Impulse Buying pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area juga tergolong tinggi, didasarkan pada mean empirik yang diperoleh (88,41) lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata hipotetik (72,5). This research aims to study correlation between hedonism lifestyle and impulse buying tendencies in psychology faculty students at Medan Area University. The hypothesis of the relationship is that there is a positive relationship between living hedonism and the tendency of impulse buying in students of the psychology faculty of Medan Area University as many as 41 people and sampling was done using the Purposive Sampling technique. The data collection method is a scale consisting of a hedonistic lifestyle and an impulse buying scale. Data analysis method is correlational test using Pearson Product Moment. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the research hypothesis is accepted (rxy = 0,715; p = 0.001 <0.005). It is known that the hedonistic lifestyle contributes to impulse buying by 51,2%. This shows that there are still 48.8% of other factors that influence but were not examined in this study. In this study, the Hedonism Lifestyle is classified as high, based on the empirical mean obtained (87,78) which is greater than the hypothetical mean (75). Furthermore, it is known that Impulse Buying in students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area is high, based on the empirical mean obtained (88,41) which is greater than the hypothetical average value (72,5).
