dc.description.abstractTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja pada pegawai di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera utara. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah hubungan positif antara komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 64 pegawai di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Bentuk skala dalam penelitian ini adalah skala likert. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala komitmen organisasi dan disiplin kerja. Dengan koefisien reliabiltas komitmen organsiasi rumus Alpha Cronbach 0,913 dan koefisien reliabiltas disiplin kerja dengan rumus Alpha Cronbach 0,677. Analisis data yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah tehnik product moment. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja pada pegawai di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Agama Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,383 dengan p = 0,002, sedangkan koefisien determinan (r2) sebesar 0,147. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. Selanjutnya diketahui kontribusi komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja adalah sebesar 14,7% sedangkan sisanya 85,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya. Diketahui komitmen organisasi tergolong rendah dimana mean empirik 33,07 < mean hipotetik 40 dan selisihnya melebihi dari SD = 4,295. Dan disiplin kerja tergolong rendah dimana mean empirik 44,18 < mean hipotetik = 60 dan selisihnya lebih dari SD = 9,31. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between organizational commitment and work discipline for employees at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of North Sumatra Province. The hypothesis proposed is a positive relationship between organizational commitment and work discipline. The subjects of this study amounted to 64 employees at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of North Sumatra Province using simple random sampling technique. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. The form of the scale in this study is the Likert scale. Data was collected using a scale of organizational commitment and work discipline. With the reliability coefficient of organizational commitment Cronbach Alpha formula 0.913 and work discipline reliability coefficient with Cronbach Alpha formula 0.677. The data analysis used in this research is the product moment technique. Based on data analysis, the results of this study indicate a significant positive relationship between organizational commitment and work discipline for employees at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of North Sumatra Province. This is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.383 with p = 0.002, while the determinant coefficient (r2) is 0.147. Thus the proposed hypothesis is accepted. Furthermore, it is known that the contribution of organizational commitment to work discipline is 14.7% while the remaining 85.3% is influenced by other factors. It is known that organizational commitment is low where the empirical mean is 33.07 < hypothetical mean 40 and the difference is more than SD = 4.295. And work discipline is low where the empirical mean is 44.18 < hypothetical mean = 60 and the difference is more than SD = 9.31en_US
