Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui “Pebedaan Kemandirian Belajar Ditinjau dari Sulung Bungsu di SMA Negeri 7 Medan”. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Maka jumlah sampel dalam peneitian ini sebanyak 58 orang dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis t tes for independent Ttest= 1.006 dengan p= 0.319>0,05. Hal ini dijelas kan oleh hasil nilai rata-rata empirik variabel kemandirian belajar sulung 72,379 nilai rata-rata hipotetik dalam kurva normal dengan nilai rata-rata empirik= 72,37% sedangkan nilai rata-rata hipotetik= 72,50 adapun nilai SD nya=5,116. Kemudian nilai rata-rata empirik variabel kemandirian belajar bungsu= 70,93 sedangkan nilai rata-rata hipotetiknya sebesar= 72,50 nilai SD nya= 5,524. Berdasarkan hasil ini berarti hipotesis yang diajukan yang berbunyi ada Perbedaan Kemandirian Belajar ditinjau dari sulung dan bungsu dinyatakan ditolak. This study aims to know “difference in independent learning based on birth order at SMA Negri & Medan”. This study uses a quantitative approach and the sum of respondents in this study is 58 students utilizing purposive sampling technique. According to the outcome of the t test analysis for independent Ttest= 1.006 and p=0.319>0.05. This is explained by the results of the empirical mean value of the firstborn learning independence variable 72,379 the hypothetical average value in the normal curve with the empirical average value = 72.37% while the hypothetical average value = 72.50 while the SD value = 5116. Then the empirical mean value of the youngest learning independence variable = 70.93 while the hypothetical average value = 72.50 SD value = 5.524. Results Based on this, means that the proposed hypothesis which reads that there is a difference in Learning Independence in terms of the eldest and youngest is declared rejected.
