dc.description.abstract | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosi dan pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Angkatan 2015 dan 2016 Universitas Medan Area. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 103 orang mahasiswa, dimana teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah insidental sampling. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan 3 (tiga) jenis skala yaitu skala prokrastinasi akademik, skala kecerdasan emosi, dan skala pola asuh demokratis orang tua. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh data bahwa : (1). Ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien R= -0,863 dan koefisien determinan R2=0,745 dengan p < 0.05, artinya semakin rendah kecerdasan emosi maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik, dan sebaliknya. (2). Ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien R= -0,461 dan koefisien determinan R2 = 0,213 dengan p < 0.05, artinya semakin rendah pola asuh demokratis orang tua maka semakin tingi Prokrastinasi akademik, dan sebaliknya. (3). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan pola asuh demokratis orang tua dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien determinasi R2 sebesar 0,759. Artinya prokrastinasi akademik dibentuk oleh kecerdasaan emosi dan pola suh demokrtis dengan kontribusi sebesar 75,3%. Sementara sisanya sebesar 24,7% prokrastinasi akademik dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, yaitu: faktor internal (kondisi fisik yang kurang sehat dan kondisi psikologis) dan faktor eksternal (Status Ekonomi Sosial, pola asuh orangtua, peer group, sibuk bekerja (Ferrari, 2016). The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and parenting democratic with academic procrastination of College Students Faculty Of Psychology batch 2015 and 2016, Medan Area University. The approach used in this study was a quantitative approach . The samples technique in this study was an accidental sampling. In this study, the researcher used three scale measuring as the instrument type. The scale used to measure the academic procrastination, emotional intelligence and parenting democratic scale. The data analysis techniques used in this study was a multiple regression analysis. Based on the analysis of data the results show that: (1). There was a negative significant relationship between parenting democratic with academic procrastination which was seen from R= -0,863 and R2=0,745 where p < 0.05. (2). There was a negative significant relationship between parenting democratic with academic procrastination which was seen from R= -0,461 and R2=0,213 where p < 0.05. (3). There was a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and parenting democratic with academic procrastination which was seen from coefficient value of R2=0,759. It means that academic procrastination is formed by emotional intelligence and parenting democratic with a contribution of 75.3%. While the remaining 24.7% academic procrastination is influenced by other factors, namely: internal factors (unhealthy physical conditions and psychological conditions) and external factors (Social Economic Status, parenting parents, peer groups, busy work (Ferrari, 2016) . | en_US |
