Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja pada pegawai di PDAM Tirta Lihou kabupaten simalungun. Disiplin kerja adalah proses dari serangkaian tingkah laku yang merupakan tindakan manajemen untuk mendorong para anggota organisasi untuk bersikap menghormati , menghargai, patuh dan taat terhadap peraturan yang berlaku dalam organisasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif korelasi. Penelitian pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model skala komitmen organisasi dan skala disiplin. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment ( sebesar 0,792 dengan P=0,000 < 0,010, artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara komitmen organisasi dengan disiplin kerja pada pegawai di PDAM Tirta Lihou Kab Simalungun, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin rendah komitmen organisasi yang didapat maka disiplin kerja akan semakin rendah. Sebaliknya semakin tinggi komitmen organisasi yang didapat pegawai maka perilaku disiplin kerja akan semakin tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan data yang diperoleh tingkat komitmen organisasi pada pegawai dalam penelitian ini tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik (72,5) < mean empirik (98,00) dan selisihnya melebihi bilangan satu SD (13,401). Pada disiplin kerja tergolong tinggi dimana mean hipotetik (85) < mean empirik (103,66) dan selisihnya melebihi bilangan satu SD (14,440). Adapun koefisien determinasi dari korelasi tersebut sebesar ( = 0,628 artinya komitmen organisasi memberikan sumbangan efektif terhadap disiplin kerja sebesar 62,8%. Berdasarkan analisis data, maka hipotesis dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to examine the relationship between organizational commitment and work discipline for employees at PDAM Tirta Lihou, Simalungun Regency. Work discipline is the process of a series of behaviors which are management actions to encourage members of the organization to be respectful, respectful, obedient and obedient to the applicable regulations in the organization. The approach used in this study is a correlation quantitative approach. The data collection research was carried out using the organizational commitment scale and discipline scale models.Data analysis using product moment correlation technique( of 0.792 with P=0.000 < 0.010 , meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and work discipline for employees at PDAM Tirta Lihou Kab Simaulungun, which shows that the lower the organizational commitment obtained, the lower the work discipline will be. On the other hand, the higher the organizational commitment that employees get, the higher the work discipline behavior will be. Based on the results of the calculation of the data obtained, the level of organizational commitment of employees in this study is classified as high where the hypothetical mean (72.5) < empirical mean (98.00) and the difference exceeds the number one SD (13,401). The work discipline is classified as high where the hypothetical mean (85) < empirical mean (103.66) and the difference exceeds the number one SD (14,440). The coefficient of determination of the correlation is (= 0.628, meaning that organizational commitment makes an effective contribution to work discipline of 62.8%. Based on data analysis, the hypothesis is declared accepted.
