dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan melihat hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist 1 Medan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 82 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 82 siswa. Peneliti menggunakan teknik total sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kontrol diri dan skala prokrastinasi akademik yang terdiri dari 26 item kontrol diri (= 0,883) dan 28 item prokrastinasi akademik (= 0,915). Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik Korelasi Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai atau koefisien hubungan (rxy = -0,542) ; p = 0,00 < 0,05) artinya ada hubungan negatif antara kontrol diri dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist 1 Medan, dengan koefisien determinan (r2) sebesar 0,294 atau 29,4 . Dengan kata lain hipotesis diterima, Dengan asumsi semakin tinggi kontrol diri maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik, sebaliknya semakin rendah kontrol diri maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik. Selanjutnya dilihat dari perhitungan mean hipotetik dan mean empirik diperoleh bahwa kontrol diri tinggi dan prokrastinasi akademik sedang. The purpose of this study too determine the correlation between self-control with academic procrastination in students class XI SMA Methodist 1 Medan. This research method using quantitative methods. The population of this study was 82 students and a sample of 82 students. Researchers used a total sampling technique. The measuring instrumend used is a self-control and a academic procrastination scale 26 items self-control (= 0,883) and 28 items academic procrastination (= 0,915). The data analysis techniques used product moment correlation.the result of this study value or coefficient correlation (rxy = -0,542) ; p = 0,00 < 0,05) means the correlation negative between self-control with academic procrastination in students class XI SMA Methodist 1 Medan, with determinant coefficient (r2) 0,294 or 29,4 %. With another words hypothesis accepted, Assuming the higher self-control will be low academic procrastination and the opposite the low self-control will be higher academic procrastination. from the calculation of the hypothetical mean and empirical mean it is known that self-control is high and academic procrastination is moderate.en_US
