Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Antara Beban Kerja Dengan Stres Kerja Pada Perawat Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Rantauprapat. This research is aimed to know the relation between work load and work stress on nurses in General Hospital of Rantauprapat. The type of research that is used in this case is quantitative approach. Workload is a number of processes or activities that must be felt and are beyond the ability of workers to carry out their work required to be able to be completed by a worker within a certain period of time. Job stress is a condition that arises from interactions in the form of physical, psychological, or behavior between humans and work and is characterized by human changes that force them to deviate from their normal functions. Population in this research is 175 nurses in General Hospital of Rantauprapat. Sample taking is using purposive technique. The analysis metode in this research is product moment from Karl Pearson. According to the analysis result with analysis correlation of r Product Moment, known that is a positive relation between work load and work stress which is rxy = 0,863 with significant p = 0,000 < 0,0050. Means the hypothesis that is applied is accepted. Determinant coefficient (r²) from the relation between free variable x and attached variable y is r² = 0,780. According to the average empirical and hypothetical value we can conclude that work load that is accepted is quite high with the average hypothetical value 90 and average empirical value 114,57 and the work stress that is accepted is also quite high because the average hypothetical value 107,5 and average empirical value 127,65.
