Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis secara empiris hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan minat berorganisasi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Medan Area. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dengan status aktif Fakultas Psikologi dan aktif berorganisasi berjumlah 75 orang yang diambil menggunakan purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala yakni skala minat organisasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisa menggunakan kolerasi product moment diperoleh terdapat hubungan positif antara kepercayaan diri dengan minat berorganisasi, dimana rxy = 0,475 dengan signifikan p (sig) = 0,001 < 0,010. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. Koefisien determinan (r2) antara variabel terikat dan variabel bebas berjumlah (r2) = 0,225 yang menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berkontribusi pada minat berorganisasi sebesar 22,5%. Hal ini menununjukkan ada 77,5 % faktor lain yang mempengaruhi harga diri adalah faktor keturunan, faktor lingkungan, faktor diri sendiri, tingkat pendidikan, penerimaan sosial atau penilaian teman sebaya, faktor orang tua dan keluarga, serta prestasi. Berdasarkan hasil dari nilai rata-rata hipotetik dan empirik dapat disimpulkan bahwa minat organisasi tergolong tinggi dan kepercayaan tergolong tinggi This study aims to determine and analyze empirically the relationship between interest in organizational involvement and the level of self-confidence in students of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Medan Area. The sample in this study were students with an active status of the Faculty of Psychology and active in organizations totaling 75 people who were taken using purposive sampling. The data collection method uses two scales, namely the organizational interest scale. Based on the results of the analysis using product moment correlation, it was found that there was a positive relationship between self-confidence and organizational interest, where rxy = 0.475 with a significant p (sig) = 0.001 < 0.010. Thus the proposed hypothesis is declared accepted. The coefficient of determinant (r2) between the dependent variable and the independent variable amounted to (r2) = 0.225 which indicates that self-confidence contributes to organizational interest by 22.5%. This shows that there are 77.5% of other factors that influence self-esteem, namely heredity, environmental factors, self factors, education level, social acceptance or peer assessment, parent and family factors, and achievement. Based on the results of the hypothetical and empirical average values, it can be concluded that organizational interest is high and trust is high.
