During this Covid-19 pandemic, human resources in hospital have important controls in tackling this program. Human resources in question are inpatient nurse and emergency room nurse. The increase in the number of patients indicated for Covid-19 makes nurse work more intensively in hospital. This is what is feared to cause fatigue and trigger work stress. Job stress is a feeling of pressure or feeling depressed that employees experience in dealing with a job. The purpose of this study was to see the differences of work stress between inpatient nurses and emergency room nurses during the pandemic at H. Abdul Manan Simatupang Hospital Kisaran. The population in this study were all inpatient nurses and emergency room nurses at H. Abdul Manan Simatupang Hospital Kisaran, totaling 60 nurses, consisting of 30 inpatient nurse and 30 emergency room nurses with a sampling technique using Total Sampling. Data collection was carried out using a Semantic Differential scale. The hypothesis testing using the analysis technique of Mann-Whitney U. This result known by looking at the value of difference in the Mann-Whitney U test = 141,500 with P= 0,000<0,010. This states that the proposed hypothesis is accepted with the result that there is a difference of work stress between inpatient nurses and emergency room nurses.en_US
