dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menguji dan mendapatkan data secara empiris mengenai Hubungan antara Dukungan Sosial Teman Sebaya dengan Perilaku Prososial pada Remaja Awal di SMP Ulul Ilmi Medan. Sejalan dengan landasan teori, maka diajukan hipotesis yang berbunyi ada hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan perilaku prososial pada remaja awal. Dimana semakin tinggi dukungan sosial, maka semakin tinggi perilaku prososial. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah dukungan sosial, maka semakin rendah perilaku prososial. Penelitian ini melibatkan 92 remaja di SMP Ulul Ilmi Medan sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala dukungan sosial dan skala perilaku prososial. Skala dukungan sosial disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek dukungan sosial teman sebaya menurut House (dalam Smet, 1994), yaitu : (1) Dukungan instrumental, (2) Dukungan informasi, (3) Dukungan emosional, dan (4) Dukungan penghargaan. Skala perilaku prososial disusun berdasarkan aspekaspek perilaku prososial menurut Bringham (dalam Poloma, 2010), yaitu : (1) Persahabatan, (2) Kerja sama, (3) Menolong, (4) Jujur, (5) Berderma, dan (6) Pengorbanan. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh hasil terdapat hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan perilaku prososial. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi, dimana rxy = 0,602 ; p = 0,000<0,05. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R square) penelitian dengan nilai sebesar 0,362. Dapat diartikan bahwa variabel dukungan sosial teman sebaya memengaruhi perilaku prososial sebesar 36,2% sedangkan sisanya 63,8% disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini, seperti empati, kepribadian, serta proses kognitif. This study is a quantitative study that aims to test and obtain empirical data regarding the relationship between Peer Social Support and Prosocial Behavior in Early Adolescents at SMP Ulul Ilmi Medan. In line with the theoretical basis, a hypothesis is proposed which states that there is a positive relationship between peer social support and prosocial behavior in early adolescence. Where the higher the social support, the higher the prosocial behavior. Conversely, the lower the social support, the lower the prosocial behavior. This study involved 92 teenagers at SMP Ulul Ilmi Medan as research subjects. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. This study uses a social support scale and a prosocial behavior scale. The social support scale is based on aspects of peer social support according to House (in Smet, 1994), namely: (1) Instrumental support, (2) Information support, (3) Emotional support, and (4) Reward support. The prosocial behavior scale is based on aspects of prosocial behavior according to Bringham (in Poloma, 2010), namely: (1) Friendship, (2) Cooperation, (3) Helping, (4) Honest, (5) Giving, and (6 ) Sacrifice. Based on data analysis, the results showed that there was a positive relationship between peer social support and prosocial behavior. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient, where rxy = 0.602; p = 0.000<0.05. The value of the coefficient of determination (R square) research with a value of 0.362. It can be interpreted that peer social support variable affects prosocial behavior by 36.2% while the remaining 63.8% is caused by other factors not disclosed in this study, such as empathy, personality, and cognitive processesen_US
