This study aims to determine and empirically test the correlation between work procrastination and employee job stress at the Sumatra Provincial Health Office. The sample in this study were 60 employees of the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office. Work stress in this study was measured based on aspects according to Beehr and Newman (in Luthans), work-related stress that can cause job dissatisfaction associated with behavior, and based on aspects of procrastination according to Ferrari, et al and Stell (2015), someone who tends to procrastinators are people who fail to meet deadlines even though the individual has the desire to do it, there is a feeling of anxiety when procrastinating. Based on the results of the analysis using the Product Moment Correlation Analysis Method, it is known that there is a correlation between work stress and work procrastination where Rxy = 0.911 with a significant p = 0.000 < 0.050. This means that the higher the work stress, the higher the work procrastination is accepted. The determinant coefficient (R2) of the correlation between the independent variable X and the dependent variable Y is R2 = 0.830. This shows that work stress contributes or contributes to work procrastination by 83%. | en_US |
