dc.description.abstract | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan regulasi diri dan stress akademik dengan prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Angkatan 2015 dan 2016 Universitas Medan Area. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 115 orang mahasiswa, dimana teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan 3 (tiga) jenis skala likert yaitu skala prokrastinasi akademik, skala regulasi diri, dan skala stress akademik. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh data bahwa : (i). Ada hubungan negative yang signifikan antara regulasi diri dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien R= -0,496 dan koefisien determinan R2=0,246 dengan p < 0.05, artinya semakin rendah regulasi diri maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik, dan sebaliknya. (ii). Ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara stress akademik dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien R= -0,452 dan koefisien determinan R2=0,204 dengan p < 0.050, artinya semakin rendah stress akademik maka semakin tingi prokrastinasi, dan sebaliknya. (iii). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara regulasi diri dan stress akademik dengan prokrastinasi akademik dimana nilai koefisien determinasi R2 sebesar 0,268. Artinya prokrastinasi akademik dibentuk oleh regulasi diri dan stress akademik dengan kontribusi sebesar 26,8%. Sementara sisanya sebesar 73,2% prokrastinasi akademik dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, yaitu: Penundaan untuk memulai dan menyelesaikan tugas, keterlambatan dalam mengerjakan tugas, kesenjangan waktu antara rencana dan kinerja aktual, melakukan aktivitas yang lebih menyenangkan. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-regulation and academic stress with academic procrastination of students of the 2015 and 2016 Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University. The research subjects were 115 students, where the sample technique used was accidental sampling. The approach used in this research is quantitative method. In this study, researchers used 3 (three) types of Likert scale, namely the academic procrastination scale, self-regulation scale, and academic stress scale. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis technique. Based on the results of data analysis obtained data that: (i). There is a significant negative relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination where the coefficient value R = -0.496 and the determinant coefficient R2 = 0.246 with p <0.05, meaning that the lower the self-regulation, the higher the academic procrastination, and vice versa. (ii). There is a significant negative relationship between academic stress and academic procrastination where the coefficient value R = -0.452 and the determinant coefficient R2 = 0.204 with p < 0.050, meaning that the lower the academic stress, the higher the procrastination, and vice versa. (iii). There is a significant relationship between self-regulation and academic stress with academic procrastination where the coefficient of determination R2 is 0.268. This means that academic procrastination is formed by self-regulation and academic stress with a contribution of 26.8%. While the remaining 73.2% academic procrastination is influenced by other factors, namely: delays in starting and completing assignments, delays in doing assignments, time gaps between plans and actual performance, doing more enjoyable activities. | en_US |
