Abstract: Rizal Hasan Harahap. 148210079. Perbaikan Kualitas Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) Varietas Dayang Sumbi Dengan Pemberian Aspirin dan Kompos Limbah Kubis. Skripsi. Di bawah bimbingan Dr. Ir. Syahbudin Hasibuan, M.Si., selaku Pembimbing I dan Ir. H. Abdul Rahman, MS., selaku Pembimbing II. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di KP. Berastagi/Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayur (BALITSA) Kabupaten Tanah Karo, dengan ketinggian 1340 m dpl, topografi datar dengan jenis tanah Andisol, dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2018 sampai Januari 2019. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial, yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan, yaitu : 1) Faktor pemberian zat penghambat tumbuh Aspirin dengan notasi (A) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : A0 = Kontrol (tanpa pemberian Aspirin); A1 = Pemberian Aspirin dengan dosis 1,25 g/l air; A2 = Pemberian Aspirin dengan dosis 2,50 g/l air, 2) Faktor pemberian kompos limbah kubis dengan notasi (K), terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu : K0 = Kontrol (tanpa pemberian kompos limbah kubis); K1= Pemberian kompos limbah kubis dengan dosis 10 ton/ha; K2 = Pemberian kompos limbah kubis dengan dosis 20 ton/ha, masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 (tiga) kali. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, warna daun, diameter batang, jumlah umbi dan bobot produksi. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini, yakni : 1) Pemberian Aspirin berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi dan bobot produksi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap warna daun dan diameter batang; 2) Pemberian kompos limbah kubis berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah umbi dan bobot produksi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap warna daun dan diameter batang; dan 3) Kombinasi antara pemberian Aspirin dan kompos limbah kubis berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah umbi dan bobot produksi, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, warna daun dan diameter batang. Under the guidance of Dr. Ir. Syahbudin Hasibuan, M.Sc., as Supervisor I and Ir. H. Abdul Rahman, MS., As Advisor II. This research was conducted at KP. Berastagi / Vegetable Research Institute (BALITSA) Tanah Karo Regency, with an altitude of 1340 m above sea level, flat topography with Andisol soil types, carried out in October 2018 to January 2019. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) method, which consists of two treatment factors, namely: 1) Aspirin administration factor with growth inhibitors with a notation (A) consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: A0 = Control (without administration) Aspirin); A1 = administration of Aspirin at a dose of 1.25 g / l of water; A2 = Giving Aspirin at a dose of 2.50 g / l water, 2) Factors for giving cabbage waste compost with a notation (K), consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely: K0 = Control (without giving cabbage waste compost); K1 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 10 tons / ha; K2 = Giving cabbage waste compost at a dose of 20 tons / ha, each treatment was repeated 3 (three) times. The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, leaf color, stem diameter, number of tubers and production weight. As for the results obtained from this study, namely: 1) Giving Aspirin has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; 2) Giving cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers and weight of production, but no significant effect on leaf color and stem diameter; and 3) The combination of aspirin and cabbage waste compost has a very significant effect on the number of tubers and production weight, but has no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf color and stem diameter.
