Fruit fly is one of the main pests that attack horticulture commodities worldwide. In Indonesia these pests attack vegetables and fruits. chili, star fruit, orange, guava, guava, mango, watermelon. The purpose of this study to determine the level of attacks and types of fruit flies contained in the fruits that are sold in traditional markets Medan city of North Sumatra province. The research method used was a complete randomized design (RAL) factorial consisting of 2 treatment factors, namely: Fruit treatment (B) consisting of 4 treatment levels, B1 = Sweet Curbing, B2 = Guava, B3 = Guava Water, B4 = Oranges and treatment of fruit sampling site (P) consisting of 3 levels of treatment: P1 = Brayan Traditional Market, P2 = Kampung Lalang Market, P3 = Simpang Limun Market. Analysis of test data using anova and continued with the duncan spacing test. The results showed that the number of larvae, the number of pupa and the number of fruit flies and the percentage of the highest fruit fly attack was found in the treatment of B3 = Guava Water, the number of fruits studied and not experiencing fruit fly attack on the fruit fly was B4 = sweet orange. In the market treatment where the fruit origin was purchased / obtained did not show a significant difference to the number of larvae and fruit fly pupa.en_US
