Abstract: This study to determine the resistance of red upland rice varieties to blast disease ( Pyricularia grisea ) and intensity attack on 4 varieties of brown rice. The design used was Factorial RAK which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely (1) Planting distance (J) consisted of 3 levels, J1 = 25 × 20 cm, J2 = 25 × 30 cm, J3 = 25 × 40 cm. (2) Varieties of red rice (V) consisted of 4 levels of treatment V1 = MSP 17, V2 = Red Sigambiri, V3 = Silver Overlay, V4 = Kambiri Lumat. The results of this study showed that plant spacing had very significant effect on tiller numbers, leaf blast disease and grain wight per sample. In observing the intensity of blast disease, the highest percentage of attacks used a spacing of 25 × 20 cm (J1) and a relatively low attack using a spacing of 25 × 40 cm (J3). The use of varieties lead to significant effect on the number of tillers, moan intensity of leaf blast disease and panicle blast disease, plant production weight per sample, plant production weight per plot and weight per 1000 grains of grain. Leaf blast and panicle blast disease had, the highest percentage of attack was the Hamparan Perak variety and the lowest attack percentage was the MSP 17 variety. The combination of spacing and varieties had a very significant effect on the intensity of leaf blast disease. The combination treatment with the highest production yield in this study was J1V1 with a yield of 5.9 tons/ha but could not match the yield production according to the description in this study. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketahanan varietas padi gogo merah terhadap serangan penyakit blas (Pyricularia grisea) dan mengetahui intensitas serangan terparah pada 4 varietas padi beras merah. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu RAK Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu (1) Jarak tanam (J) terdiri dari 3 taraf, J1= 25 × 20 cm, J2= 25 × 30 cm, J3= 25 × 40 cm. (2) Varietas tanaman padi merah (V) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan V1= MSP 17, V2= Sigambiri Merah, V3= Hamparan Perak, V4= Kambiri Lumat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah anakan, intensitas serangan penyakit blas daun dan bobot produksi gabah per tanaman sampel. Pada pengamatan intensitas serangan penyakit blas daun persentase serangan tertinggi menggunakan jarak tanam 25 × 20 cm (J1) dan serangan relatif rendah menggunakan jarak tanam 25 × 40 cm (J3). Penggunaan varietas juga berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah anakan, intensitas erangan penyakit blas daun, intensitas serangan penyakit blas malai, bobot produksi tanaman per sampel, bobot produksi tanaman per plot dan bobot per 1000 butir gabah. Pada pengamatan intensitas serangan penyakit blas daun dan blas malai persentase serangan yang tertinggi yaitu varietas Hamparan Perak dan persentase serangan yang terendah yaitu varietas MSP 17. Kombinasi perlakuan jarak tanam dan varietas memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap intensitas serangan penyakit blas daun. Kombinasi perlakuan dengan hasil produksi tertinggi pada penelitian ini yaitu J1V1 dengan hasil 5,9 ton/ha namun belum dapat menyamai hasil produksi sesuai deskripsi pada penelitian ini.
