This study aims to analyze the effect of job satisfaction and positive self-talk on job stress in bank credit card marketers. This study is a quantitative study with a population of 160 employees with the task of being a bank credit card marketer in the city of Medan. By using random sampling technique, a sample of 110 people was obtained. The data collection technique uses three scales, which consist of a job satisfaction scale, a positive self-talk scale and a work stress scale. Data analysis technique using Multiple Regression Analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of job satisfaction on work stress, it can be seen from the data r_xy = 0.590 with p = 0.000. This shows that the higher the employee's job satisfaction, the lower the level of stress experienced. The positive aspect of self-talk also shows an influence on work stress. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient of rx2y -0.378 with p < 0.05, thus it is stated that the better the employee's positive self-talk, the lower the level of work stress they experience. Aspects of job satisfaction and positive self-talk together have an effect on job stress, this can be seen from F reg = 49.693 with p < 0.05, and the correlation coefficient R = 0.694 with p < 0.05 and R2 = 0.482, indicating that job satisfaction and positive self-talk together have an effect on employee work stress, the contribution of both in generating work stress is 48.2%. |
