Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Konformitas Kelompok dengan Perilaku Konsumtif Terhadap Pembelian Kosmetik Pada Mahasiswi. Hipotesis peneliti yang diajukan diterima. Dimana semakin tinggi konformitas kelompok maka semakin tinggi pula perilaku konsumtif. 2). Bahwa para Mahasiswi Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, memiliki Konformitas Kelompok yang tinggi (Mean Empirik = 101,9 > Mean Hipotetik = 97,5 dimana selisih kedua mean melebihi bilangan SD = 13,875) dan Perilaku Konsumtif pada Mahasiswi Psikologi Universitas Medan Area tergolong tinggi (Mean Empirik = 102,8 > Mean Hipotetik = 97,5 dimana selisih kedua mean melebihi bilangan SD = 12,396). This study aims to see the correlation between Group Conformity and Consumptive Behavior towards cosmetic purchases in female students. The proposed researcher's hypothesis is accepted. Where the higher the conformity of the group, the higher the consumptive behavior. The population of this study amounted to 117 and the research sample was 41 students of Psychology at Medan Area University as research subjects. The method used in this study is the Likert method with the sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The research instrument is the Group Conformity scale and the Consumptive Behavior scale. The results are as follows: 1). There is a significant positive relationship between Group Conformity with Consumptive Behavior on Cosmetic Purchasing in Psychology Students at Medan Area University, with the Correlation Coefficient rxy = 0,782 P = 0.000 < 0.05, there is a 42,1% relationship, from these results it is known that there are still 57,9% of other factors contained consumptive behavior that was not explained in this study. 2). That the Psychology Students of Medan Area University, have high group conformity (Empirical Mean = 101,9 > Hypothetical Mean = 97,5 where the difference between the two means exceeds the SD number = 13,875) and Consumptive Behavior in Psychology Students of Medan Area University is high (Empirical Mean = 102,8 > Hypothetical Mean = 97,5 where the difference between the two means exceeds SD = 12,396).
