Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosi dengan Forgiveness pada mahasiswa broken home di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 mahasiswa broken home yang diambil menggunakan teknik Puposive Sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah skala yang terdiri dari skala Kecerdasan Emosi dengan Forgiveness. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik korelasi product moment pearson. Dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima rxy = 0,956, dengan Signifikan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif antara Kecerdasan Emosi dengan Forgiveness, dimana semakin tinggi Kecerdasan Emosi maka semakin tinggi Forgiveness pada mahasiswa broken home di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, begitupun sebaliknya semakin rendah Kecerdasan Emosi maka semakin rendah Forgiveness pada mahasiswa broken home di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Kecerdasan Emosi memberikan distribusi sebesar 91,40% pada Forgiveness. Mahasiswa broken home dari Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area mempunyai kecerdasan emosi dan forgiveness yang tergolong rendah. Kecerdasan emosi memiliki nilai mean hipotetik 87,500 > dari nilai mean empirik 63,825 dimana selisihnya melebihi SB/SD yaitu sebesar 17,067 dan forgiveness memiliki nilai mean hipotetik 87,500 > dari nilai mean empirik 63,675 dimana selisihnya melebihi SB/SD yaitu sebesar 16,754. This study aims to determine correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Forgiveness in broken home college students at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area. The subjects in this study were 40 broken home students who were taken using the Purposive Sampling technique. The data collection method in this study was a scale consisting of the Emotional Intelligence scale with Forgiveness. The data analysis method used in this research is Pearson's product moment correlation technique. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the research hypothesis is accepted rxy = 0.956, with significant p = 0.000 <0.05. Which means that there is a positive relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Forgiveness, where the higher Emotional Intelligence, the higher the Forgiveness for broken home students at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area, and vice versa, the lower Emotional Intelligence, the lower Forgiveness for broken home college students at the Faculty of Psychology University of Medan Area. Emotional Intelligence gives a distribution of 91.40% to Forgiveness. Broken home college students from the Faculty of Psychology, Medan Area University, have low emotional intelligence and forgiveness. Emotional intelligence has a hypothetical mean value of 87,500 > from the empirical mean value of 63,825 where the difference exceeds SB/SD which is 17.067 and forgiveness has a hypothetical mean value of 87,500 > from the empirical mean value of 63,675 where the difference exceeds SB/SD which is 16.754.
