Hubungan Antara kepercayaan Diri Dengan Kecemasan Pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Yang Sedang Menyelesaikan Skripsi Di Universitas Medan Area

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi, dimana yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi Angkatan 2015-2017 yang masih tercatat aktif. Kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi dalam penelitian ini diungkap dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Korelasi-Product Moment, maka diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut: 1) Terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,650; P = 0,005 < 0,05. 2) Bahwa kepercayaan diri yang dimiliki mahasiswa mempengaruhi atau menekankan munculnya kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi sebesar 36,3%. 2) Bahwa para mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area, memiliki keperayaan diri yang tinggi (mean empirik = 115,58 > mean hipotetik = 82,5 dimana selisi kedua mean melebihi bilangan SD = 13,471) dan kecemasan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyelesaikan skripsi tergolong sedang (mean empirik = 82,05 > mean hipotetik = 80 dimana selisih kedua mean tidak melebihi bilangan SD = 15,840). Dari hasil penelitian ini, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan diterima. This study aims to see the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in students who are completing their thesis, where the subjects in this study are students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area who are completing thesis for the 2015-2017 class who are still listed as active. Confidence with anxiety in students who are completing the thesis in this study was revealed using a Likert scale. The data analysis method used in this study is CorrelationProduct Moment, so the following results are obtained: 1) There is a significant negative relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in students who are completing their thesis. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.650; P = 0.005 < 0.05. 2) That the self-confidence that students have affects or emphasizes the emergence of anxiety in students who are completing their thesis by 36.3%. From these results it is known that there are still 63.7% of other factors on anxiety in students who are completing their thesis, where these factors in this study are not visible, including factors from experience, self-esteem, and education. 3) That the students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area, have high self-confidence (empirical mean = 115.58 > hypothetical mean = 82.5 where the difference between the two means exceeds the SD number = 13.471) and the anxiety of students who are completing their thesis is classified as moderate (empirical mean = 82.05 > hypothetical mean = 80 where the difference between the two means exceeds SD = 15.840). From the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
