Hubungan Antara Konformitas dengan Prokrastinasi Akademik pada Siswa SMA Kartika I-2 Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara konformitas dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa SMA Kartika I-2 Medan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pengambilan korelasi product moment dari pearson. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Kartika I-2 Medan yang berjumlah 204 orang, dan sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 104 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan penentuan beberapa ciri pada subjek. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala Likert. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala konformitas dengan reliabilitas 0,884 dan skala prokrastinasi akademik dengan reliabilitas 0,864, dengan setiap instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel pada penelitian ini memiliki empat alternatif jawaban yaitu setuju, sangat setuju, tidak setuju, dan sangat tidak setuju. Koefisien item valid prokrastinasi akademik bergerak dari 0,054 sampai 0,661, sedangkan koefisien item valid konformitas bergerak dari 0,159 sampai 0,656. Berdasarkan analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment ditemukan adanya hubungan positif antara konformitas dengan prokrastinasi akademik dengan (r) sebesar 0,458 dan taraf signifikansi p=0,000 (p<0,01). Dengan demikian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Hasil analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi konformitas yang dimiliki siswa maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa, sebaliknya semakin rendah konformitas yang dimiliki siswa maka semakin rendah pula prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa. Selebihnya sebesar 54,2% terbentuknya prokrastinasi akademik dipengaruhi faktor lain. This research aims to analyzes is a corelation between conformity and procrastination academic in students of SMA Kartika I-2 Medan. This research method uses quantitative methods is a quantitative method by taking the product moment correlation from Pearson. The population in this research were students of SMA Kartika I-2 Medan, amounting to 204 people, and the sample used in this study amounted to 104 students. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique by determining several characteristics of the subject. Collecting data using a Likert Scale. The measuring instrument used is a conformity scale with a reliability of 0.884 and an academic procrastination scale with a reliability of 0.864, with each instrument used to measure the variables in this study having four alternative answers, namely agree, strongly agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. The coefficient on the valid item for academic procrastination moves from 0.054 to 0.661, while the coefficient on the valid item conformity moves from 0.159 to 0.656. Based on the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis, it was found that there was a positive relationship between conformity and academic procrastination with (r) of 0.458 and a significance level of p=0.000 (p<0.01). Thus the hypothesis in this research is accepted. The results of this analysis indicate that the higher the conformity of the students, the higher the academic procrastination of the students, on the contrary, the lower the conformity of the students, the lower the academic procrastination of the students. The remaining 54.2% of the formation of academic procrastination is influenced by other factors.
