dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan penalaran moral dengan academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Medan Area. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Stambuk 2018 yang berjumlah 80 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan model skala likert dengan dua skala, yaitu skala penalaran moral dan skala academic dishonesty yang disusun oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment (𝑟𝑥𝑦) diketahui sebesar -0,589 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,05. Artinya terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara penalaran moral dengan academic dishonesty pada mahasiswa, yang menunjukkan semakin rendah penalaran moral mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi academic dishonesty yang dilakukan dan hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diterima. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, diketahui penalaran moral mahasiswa tergolong rendah dengan mean hipotetik (82,55) > mean empirik (71,84) dan selisihnya melebihi satu SD (5,377), academic dishonesty tergolong tinggi dengan mean hipotetik (70) < mean empirik (77,31) dan selisihnya melebihi satu SD (6,090). Penalaran moral memiliki kontribusi terhadap academic dishonesty sebesar 34,6%. This study aims to examine the relationship between moral reasoning and academic dishonesty in students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Medan Area. The sample in this study was 2018 students, totaling 80 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the moral reasoning scale and the academic dishonesty scale compiled by the researcher. The results of the research using the product moment correlation technique (𝑟𝑥𝑦) are known to be -0.589 with p = 0.000 < 0.05. This means that there is a significant negative relationship between moral reasoning and academic dishonesty in students, which shows that the lower the student's moral reasoning, the higher the academic dishonesty carried out and the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that students' moral reasoning is low with a hypothetical mean (82.55) > empirical mean (71.84) and the difference exceeds one SD (5.377), academic dishonesty is high with a hypothetical mean (70) < mean empirically (77.31) and the difference exceeds one SD (6.090). Moral reasoning contributed 34.6% to academic dishonesty.en_US
