Analisis Diterminan Alih Fungsi Lahan Tanaman Kakao Menjadi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Pendapatan Petani di Kabupaten Asahan

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify and analyze the effect of the cost, labor, production and price to farmers income with the land conversion of the cocoa into oil palm crop at Asahan District. This research method nonprobability sampling method is purposive sampling. The data used in this study is primary data obtained through questionnaires and direct interviews with respondents and secondary data obtained from the literature study, research centers, scientific journals, statistical agencies, research results or previous studies and other sources. Data analyzed using the regression multiple linear. The results showed that the cost of production, labor, total production and prices had a simultaneously significant effect on farmers' income both on the oil palm and the cocoa crop. The coefficient of determination in oil palm crop of 0.733 and the cocoa crop was 0,596. This suggests that variables more efficient on oil palm compared to the cocoa crop. Partially, the palm oil crop only tha labor variable had a negative effect and no significant on farmers' income, while the cocoa crop the costs of production and labor variables is not a significant effect on the farmers income. Based on the analysis, the determinant factors that cause land conversion of the cocoa into oil palm crop is the cost of production, labor, total production and the price is more efficient on oil palm plant.
